David Rodriguez Gutierrez from the Chemical Propulsion Area, has participated on April 14 and 15 in the 10th European Combustion Meeting, and his work, “The Effect of Geometry on Thermoacustic Instabilities in Slender Microchannels“, has received the Best Poster Award.

The work focuses on the study of the effect of geometry, Lewis numbers and heat losses on thermoacoustic instabilities caused by the interaction of flame dynamics with pressure waves (acoustic). This work has been carried out with the collaboration of UC3M within the IDEAL project, PID2019-108592RB-C41 (MCI), whose objective is to identify the problems associated with the combustion of hydrogen and ammonia and its mixtures with other fuels of green origin.
